Nothing much today. Just shared a seafood platter with my sis. She was NOT supposed to eat fried food. She's so dead. Still gonna eat her friend's bdae cake tomorrow somemore. After eating, we bought presents for her friend. Awww.. the bear's so cute!!!

My week has been interestingly suay.. i had to get down one stop after my usual stop because the BLUR driver had forgotten that i had rang the bell. and you know la! the bus stops here are SOOO far away.. and that very day, the sun had to be extremely scorching! Hmph! -crosses hands-

The next day, i got myself into stinking shit.. i have no idea why, but the neighbour had to turn on the sprinklers at the time i leave the house these few days. You know what water australia uses to water its lawn?? it's drainage water ok!!!! EEeeuuwWW la.. The "NICE" wind had to blow in a direction such that the water blew in my direction! it's bad enough i had to inhale the unbearable smell of drainage water. why must it get worse than this?!! Worse still, i HAD to step onto a puddle of drainage water. ERGGHHH!!! my feet stank the whole entire day. using the water from my bottle to wash my feet did not do much..

You wouldn't want to get to know the flies here.. they're notorious insects! no wonder they said s'pore was clean and green.. how true.. how very very true.. i miss its cleanliness. The flies back in s'pore goes away when u swap it off a few times. NOT THE ONES HERE.. They stick to you like glue... -.-" and it's NO FUN and NO USE trying to swap it away so many times.. Imagine 3 flies hovering around you.. you hit them they also refuse to go away. so stubborn one lea! People will think you're dirty cos' there're flies around you. Geez.. I'm so glad i'm going back to s'pore during summer. It gets worse then.. Not to mention the scorching sun that makes temperatures go up to 42 degrees. Whew..

Playing eyetoy is a good exercise. haha! i played it with my cousins. so tiring ah! i'm good in bootcamp =p woohoo! i should go army! wahaha..

i spent the whole week watching heroes season 1 online and i'm only at episode 10. haha.. australia's already broadcasting season 2. but it's quite a nice show. thanks to wei bin who introduced the website. but no thanks to him if i fail my exams! lol.. kiddin lar. i dun tink i'll fail.. i hope =X

Eeks! my friend just told me her brother's friend was attacked by a magpie a few days ago. He was innocently staring at it and was attacked in the eye. His eye practically dropped out of his eye socket!!!! OH MY GOSH.. now he's blind in one eye =( so sad ah.. scary lea!! Never never mess with the birds here. get sunglasses to protect your eyes!!

i was so surprised to get shawn's call.. my kindergarten and first 3 mths JC friend. how cool is that?? the world is sooo small.. the thing is we hardly spoke to each other during JC. only after i left for australia did we talk to each other alot. Now he's here! in brisbane.. for his army.. and he's gonna come back on the same day as me! woo! so there will be 3 people coming back on the same day.. hehe.. provided i can settle my re-enrolment for 2008 before i leave. i was scheduled to do my re-enrolment on the 4 december=( and i can't do it online. i've to go down personally becos i'm doing my pre-major now. so sucky..=( i don't wanna stay here until 4 dec! that's 3 wks away from my last exam paper.. what am i suppose to do for 3 wks?! i'm hoping i can talk to them to let me do my re-enrolment before i leave. Oh please oh please.. haiz.. i've waited so long for 24 nov to come. now they tell me have to wait till 4 dec.. argh!

Zu xing has also left for australia for army. hope he's doing well there! he wasn't feeling very well when he left. aiz.. this guy ah.. he better remember his promise to go to the doctor if his condition gets worse. if not, they'd be so many people going after his life when he comes home.

I just found out jason is going back to singapore to study.. One less person to go out with liao =(

Daylight savings start this coming morning - sunday 2am. meaning perth will be 1 hr ahead of s'pore. they're having this trial for the 2nd year. one more year of daylight savings then they will have a vote to see whether they want daylight savings. it's just 1 more hr of work.. how much can you do?? funny bunch of people.. i better set my time 1 hr faster before i go to bed. if not, i'll be late for church. >.<

Oh yea.. i've finally achieved 100 days away from home. time to celebrate man! haha..

i had quite an interesting day yesterday. In the morning, i had this handsome guy talk to me ;) muahaha! he wanted to thank me for returning him his curtin student ID card when he dropped it the day before. He's from Myanmar. Cool! and guess what?? he looks a bit like Wu Zun.. haha.. mmm i tink his name is poh and his friend's name koh (also from myanmar). Ahhh why sound so alike one? Both of them are studying engineering and woo! poh's living in ranford road, near my place. aha.. no wonder i always see him on the same 2 buses to school. He is in the same plight as me - his family migrated over. He's coming over to s'pore during the holidays fer 1 MTH! eh heh heh.. anybody interested in meeting him? =P

Then in the afternoon, when we were chilling out in gloria jeans coffee, an old man, Maurice, just striked up a conversation with us. Asking us where we were studying, where we live, even to the extent of whether we have boyfriends! He even attempted to introduce his grandsons if we were interested. Wahaha funny guy.. And his friend, Bill told us about his son - Australia's top cyclist. Won 4 olympics in a row plus he's heading down to beijing soon for the 2008 olympic games. Wao.. sometimes you'll never know who you'll meet. Guess what Maurice's job is? Justice of Peace.. Wahhhhhh... i'm impressed. but you know what, he's also a prison visitor. gave us his namecards, said we'll need it sometime later. Like hell no..! i dun wan to see you in prison!

Later in the day, another girl just asked us whether we were malaysians? do i look like malaysian? haha.. just joking. it's hard to tell between malaysians and s'poreans.

i tink i've internal bleeding. i always taste blood in my mouth. my nose will start to have a funny feeling and then later i'll have the 'metal' taste in my mouth. Internal nose bleed? i dunno.. i have it quite a few times already and it's getting more frequent. oh no, what's wrong with me?

Haiz.. i simply can't understand australian kids. How corrupt their minds can get.. i mean, it's bad enough that everyone just blurts out #$&*@^! whenever they feel like it, even to their own family members. i've heard plenty of them here.. they seriously have no respect for their parents at all. well, i don't blame them. their parents do say unkind words when they're angry too. What can i say? i'm just not used to these exchanges. i'm brought up in a home where respect for elders is first priority. Even if you say "Shut up!", you'd get a tight slap on the cheek. Over here, their parents don't even scold them when they say F*** or some other verbal abuses. i cringe whenever selina scolds my grandma bad words and nothing is done. Haiz.. What disgusts me the most is jason's dirty thoughts. He has touched me in areas which makes me feel uncomfortable and what a normal guy shouldn't do, the last being 1 day ago. i told him off but it doesn't seem to get into his bloody tiny idiot head! he even fantasizes me naked. Can u believe this coming from an 8 yr old???? i wish i can just slap him. but doing so will get me killed. Charmaine, just endure for another month and you're out of here. FOREVER... sobx..

What a tiring week.. firstly, i had to fight with my sis on sunday, which left us not talking to each other from the time we exploded at the shopping centre in the afternoon till the next morning. it was very hard cos' we were in the same room. but this was the first time i actually had such a serious fight with her. Cried till my eyes became like a goldfish's. Haiz.. but i'm so glad it came and went real fast. i had 2 group assignments and 1 report due today!!! so i had to rush and work like mad the whole entire week. i was having 2 group meetings in one single day for 2 days in a row.. came back like 5 plus 6 everyday. whew.. FINALLY everything's done!!! and i just had my BIS group presentation today. oh yea.. that's done too.. all i have left is 1 more BIS report. and the final exam. Eeks!! argh... shan't think about that first. Sleep more important. Hehe.. i crashed on the bed after i got home.. Mmm the weather's starting to heat up. the average temperature is about 21-25 degrees. But tomorrow crazy one ah.. 29 DEGREES! i'm not going out. i almost died outside today. =p

I was so surprised when i got back my legal framework tutorial test today. i had quite a good mark. even my previous test was done pretty well. maybe i should consider being a lawyer. wahahah!!

i bought a BIG tub of yoghurt today. delicious!!! it'll take me a few days to finish it up. haha.. my sister hates it. it's nice ah.. who's with me?

oh yea.. we went to nandos yesterday to have lunch. had the fiesta meal - 1 whole chicken and chips. The plate was damn huge. and i thought it wouldn't be enough for the 3 of us at first. i was SOOO wrong. you know why? they bullied me.. sobx sobx.. they ate so little la!!! they took one chicken each and i had to take 2. i also had to finish up the fries. If i don't become fat, it's a miracle ah! there was this sign on the table. i actually thought the floor was wet when i saw the sign from afar. Guess what??

I went to the perth royal show today=) It was hell fun!! i tink it's my 1st time going to a carnival? hmm.. nt sure already. Wahaha.. but i didn't regret going. Although i spent A$90 plus.. Yikes! Plus the perth royal show is only a once a year event! Die die must go orh.. The carnival can really make money man.. the entrance fee alone is A$22. You have to pay extra for the games and rides. And it's not cheap! A$8/9 for a ride, A$5 for a game. There're also showbags. It's very popular here. you get to choose what showbags you want to buy. It can be chocolate, perfume, cosmetics, toys, macademia showbags. But i find it such a waste of money. I'd rather spend it on games and rides=) I wanna win BIG toys! hehe.. they look so NICE..

That's the haunted mansion. I didn't get to go cos' i've to use my money wisely. Can only spend on rides that are worth taking.

i took the front ride as well as the one behind. Cool right? wahaha.. i'm so brave.. but it's scary!!!

This was the scariest ride i took. The ride was super fast. i don't think i've ever taken any ride like this before. And there wasn't a proper safety belt. There was just a bar and then a chain to hook the bar in front of each person. During the ride, i hold the bar until my hands all suan la! if you never hold on to your dear's life, can swing hard into the person next to you. and i mean damn hard. Have to tug in your head aso. i almost sprained my neck. Caren sprained hers. Cos when you don't tug in your head, ur neck will jerk and it'll be difficult to put it back into position becos of the momentum. When i saw Caren's head jerking beside me, i quickly tug in my head ah! VERY scary.. and for a moment there, i thought the machine was spoilt cos it was really really fast. i thought i was going to die..

i went on that roller coaster. See the loop?? haha.. but it isn't huge enough. >.<

i've always wanted to take this ride since young. Alwaes see the TV portraying overseas carnivals having this ride. And now i finally get the chance to do so! Whee.. the ride isn't scary but it was SUPER COOLING! What a ride man..

Sorry to disappoint.. but i still dun dare to take the ride which goes all the way up and then drops from a high level. I tink i'll have heart attack if i do. Caren said it was fun. You'll just feel your heart popping out. No thanks! i want it close to me. Thank you very much..

By the way, i went to the perth royal show with Caren. Jenny had a last-minute urgency. Mmm.. wish she was there with us. We had so much fun! We then proceeded to the animal farm. Haha.. you must be thinking. Animal farm in a carnival?? Oh this is not the weird part. The carnival's like a pasar malam also. Sell ALL sorts of things. Even the unimaginable.. sell cars, holiday tours, massage services, cutlery, hammocks, earrings bla bla..

This is the brahman bull. Big right? It had to be guarded by a 'security guard' lest people incurred its wrath. Wahaha.. just kidding. =p

These are kids. They're so adorable. i was taking numerous photos of them. i especially like the part where they smell and lick each other on the face.. Eee so cute! There were also hatched baby emu and eggs in an incubator. When they're freshly hatched, they're like drunkards, can't seem to walk properly. Knock here knock there. haha!

We also stepped into the dog show. But when we went in, the dog owners were packing up their stuff already. And when we walked out of the show, the guy was like shoo-ing people who wanted to come in cos they were closing. Ooo yea.. we came in at the right time=) So sorry leong.. no cats here. haha =p

This candy is just SSOOOO thick. i think it's about 2-3 cm thick ah! Wonder how people manage to chew it.. my jaw will just ache lor!

What this stall sells is quite obvious from its name. Twisted chips! i was so tempted to buy and try it. There was a LONG queue. Ahh forget it! i shall just feast my eyes on people's food and drool in my fantasy world. LOL.. There was also a band playing. In a carnival..

Tractors were also on sale. Can you imagine??!!

This part of the carnival is like a museum, showing you all the oldern mechanics. Saws and tools used plus horse carriages. There was also metal casting. How cool is that?! The person doing the metal casting had charcoal all over his face and body. LOL..

Later on, Caren met some of her Malaysian friends. and we tagged along with them for the rest of the night. I tell you, they were DEEPLY and MADLY attached to this machine. Guess what was the final result? Of cos' lose la! You lose some and gain some but in the end, you'll still lose all. Even your earnings.. That's why they say never bet.. How true..

If you're thinking i won both of these toys, you're wrong.. Yea one of them is mine, the other's Caren's. Guess which one? ;) i got the dinosaur. Cute right? My sis and cousin says it's UGLY.. where got?? i think it's nicer than the pony ah! By the way, i didn't win the dinosaur either. =p Caren got her friend to play basketball and win those toys for us. Muahaha.. it's really difficult to win a Big toy.. i see so many people bringing home big toys, like so easy to win lyk that. Mmm.. or am i just lousy? ahaha.. i had banana and nuts pancake for dinner. Yummy. Took a picture of it but it turned out too dark. Sorry..

Guess what this is? the guy's making names with gold-plated metal by folding them. So all those things you see up there are different names.

We settled at the big field at about 8 to catch the night show. There were some motorcycle stunts, car stunts and horse parade.

Not forgetting, there was a fireworks display at 9. Really beautiful. It's a 10 mins video. But i guarantee you it's worth watching. Although this is my very first close encounter with fireworks, S'pore's fireworks can never beat australia's. (i've seen spore's fireworks on tv during ndp ahaha)

This was one of the coupons i bought for A$2.50. If your number matches the winning numbers, you get a huge toy!! Too bad i've no luck at all.. Caren's friends were worse o.. they bought like $40 worth of tickets each but you know what, simply put it, they're just damn suay.. Sometimes you can really marvel how people can just spend their money away like that. i can NEVER do that.

The 2 toys i brought home. If you're thinking i didn't bring anything home that i won ALL by myself, think again. You see the little heart up there - i won that=)

Overall, i enjoyed myself like crazy.. i initially wanted to skip it cos' it was unreasonably expensive. But thinking back, i'm really glad i went for it. It was fun and all, but i guess the most important thing was that it opened my eyes to more things than what i presumed a carnival would have at first. If you guys are planning to come over for the perth royal show next year, i don't mind being your guide?? heex..

I throw everything back to my maths teachers already. Wasn't able to help my cousin in Brisbane with probability - sampling. Couldn't even do it with the help of the book i brought over to australia. Feel so hopeless. Haha!

Oh my gosh.. i really have to get flats when i go back. Mine has a hole!! i had to resort to sticking black tape on the inner side of the shoe. -.-" How pathetic can i get? As desperate as i need to get one, i hate the shoes here. they're soooo ugly, expensive and of poor quality.. seriously, what's their problem? Ahaha..

i'm so surprised my econs last minute amendments got me an 'ok' mark. How can that be?? perhaps my teacher was lenient. i thought i was going to do real badly after i heard my friend scored quite low for hers. Her assignment seemed more decent than mine. i thought she was gonna do very well. Just because she did not reference some of her in-text, she was penalised heavily. The main body of the assignment should be the most important ma.. Curtin's very strict on plagiarism. Every assignment or report you do must be referenced. If not, you can kiss it goodbye. BYE BYE - 0 marks fer you!! and you can't afford to do that because each assignment is worth 20% of your final assessment. That's alot ah!

i miss nasi lemak at home.. the nasi lemak here sucks.. well, what can i expect? The fish sucks (it's not even kunning fish), chicken sucks (whoever has curry chicken for nasi lemak?), chilli sucks (chilli with onion), RICE sucks (not much coconut taste) and they have boiled egg (usually it's fried egg right?). Funny..

Tim tams this week are SUPER cheap!! A$2.15 per pack. so i bought 2 packs=) but when i went to karawara shopping centre 2 days later, it was going for A$1.99. -.-"" how 'lucky' can i get?

People really know how to style their hair la.. i saw a guy having the hair of a leopard. It's like the leopard's spots are imprinted on his head. I'm not kidding! Damn cool la! The things people do here can sometimes amuse you. LOL..

Ran twice this week. On monday and today. 20 minutes then stopped for a rest and then another 20 minutes. Good right?? Haha.. see bong?? i'm good.. =p but i doubt i've burnt off any fats. Cos they said you will only burn fats if you run more than 20 mins?? Geez.. Why so long?? Run 20 mins want to die already. Who made that rule??!!

Show ya something. i took this in school. Creepy crawlie.. eeks! don't ever touch it! i THINK it's poisonous =x Honestly, don't ever ever touch any bugs here. My aunt says not to touch this spider with a red butt - highly poisonous. The bad thing is they frequent the house when the weather gets hotter. Thanks alot spidey!
