Been busy baking and making stuff =D baked banana cake for david's 21st bdae and also gave some to my nando's manager who's been so nice to me..

Also bought pavlova from the supermarket and topped it with whipped cream and plenty of fresh fruits! Pavlova is actually just a fancy name for meringue base.. haha.. Looks appetising huh? Yum yum..

The accounting firm called me twice today.. first the director then the recruitment manager.. guess they must really be desperate to have me confirm my employment with them before they go off for x'mas and new year. But i'm still waiting for a reply from the bank. Feel so bad for lying to them about taking a road trip with no internet connection and i even lied about not receiving their mail cos i was already away. But they HAD to read me the contents of the letter. And so, I was literally pressured into verbally accepting their offer but i told them i'll mail them the signed contract by mid january as i'm not home. arghhhhh!

Stupid bank! why must u take so long to get back to me??!!! What if the bank later offers me a job as well? How am i going to turn down the accounting firm? i wouldnt have signed the contract yet but will they be cunning enough to voice tape my conversation with them and sue me based on that verbal confirmation? SIGHHHHSSSS..

i've been offered an accounting job! FINALLY!! =) and its the job where i was the one asking qsns during the interview instead of answering them. haha.. got mailed the job contract today. Pay's alright but i'm still more keen in the Bankwest job - there's more job exposure, nearer office, higher pay and reputation. But Bankwest just called me today, apologising for not being able to let me noe the results of my application till 4 jan.. And i dunno how long i can wait till i must give the accounting job a reply regarding my job acceptance. Now i'm stuck.. oh oh..

Had good food the past few days. Dad bought lobsters - 3 for $15 each. Yikes! so expensive, can only eat once in a while.. but nice stuff! Dad's first western home-cooked meal since he came over..

stuffed along with prawns, carrots, cauliflowers, potatoes..

accompanied by a big bowl of salad and beer..

Had crabs the 2nd time.. These crabs i got fresh from catching them at Safety Bay Beach in Mandurah with my Nando's colleagues.. The drive was 1 hour long -.- ok fine, i didnt help in catching them. i just watched HAHA.. i scared the crabs "bite" me as it did to my friends. We threw in about 7-8 crab nets and waited. it was really cold for a summer night. The wind was horribly strong and chilly. i wear 2 thick winter jackets also no use -.-" still shivering. The water current was also quite strong, making it difficult to catch crabs.

I heard they used to catch 70 crabs but that night, sry early morning, we only caught abt 30. miserable catch.. 14 of us tgt and cant even split evenly. but i was lucky and got to bring home 5 crabs although i didnt do anything =X Mum cooked the crabs the nxt day - they weren't big. quite small but oh wells, it will do =) Freshly caught crabs taste different, it was salty because its salt water crabs. But the best bit was the meat was very tender.. YUM YUM! wish the crabs were bigger..

Anyway, i hope to do crabbing again, with better chance that the weather will be warmer and that i dun need to work the nxt day. Horrible - i was so tired at work -.-" only got home at 6am and had to start work at 12pm.. oh wells, good experience though! HAHA..

Also had chilli mussels at the recommended Concas pizza bar cafe down at Victoria Park. $36 for a big bowl of mussels with garlic bread and wine.. My family enjoyed it.. the meat was soft. My parents said they didnt have such soft mussels in spore. Guess we'd be going again sometime soon! haha..

Just gave my presentation today to a panel of 6 people. was nervous.. but its normal. thought i did ok.. but i dunno wad the panel thinks. will be waiting anxiously for the results! =) thx mimi for the encouragement..

Had a person swear at me for the 1st time! i was driving us home after work, pulling out of the parking lot. i indicated to get out but apparently, the guy behind me was driving very fast that when i got out, he horned at me. and when we reached the traffic light, it was red so we had to stop. the guy got out of his car, slammed his door and walked up to our car. he gave me the two fingers! middle eastern guy.. typical of them.

amanda says they're all like that. they think they're 'royal' and everyone should treat them like kings. oh wells.. was afraid he might smash the window or something. heng ar... was so lost when he sweared. LOL.. and if that wasnt enough, he overtook me later on and swerved into my lane, WITHOUT indicating! so obvious he did that on purpose cos it was such a sharp turn. -.-" where gt pple so childish take revenge like that one? adult somemore!

Had a short blackout last night at 11pm and the tealights that dad brought over from spore proved to be really useful, especially when its the same day he arrives in perth. The tealights are electrical and can be recharged, so no need to light candles =D

I've advanced to the nxt stage for a job application. Now its online testing. Already passed the phone interview and face to face interview. Online testing is the 3rd stage. If i succeed, i'll move on to panel presentation! Eeks! That's something new =X So nervous and scared..

i had 2 face-to-face interviews earlier last week. So far, i've received a rejection email from one company. And the other, i'm still waiting for news.

Mum asked when i would like to return to spore cos' she'll be booking the return flight tickets soon. Offer ends this midnight. Tentatively, its set at 10 Feb 2011 but she's asking if i would like to return earlier, seeing that job applications open in Feb. I dunno how to tell her that i'm having 2nd thoughts about australia. its already been 3 mths and i'm still w/o an accounting job. I noe i promised her 6 mths to a year. but.. i dunno how long i can wait. i feel so desperate and i start thinking to myself if the reason why companies dun wan to hire me is because i'm not good enough for them.

Amanda's also graduated from university and soon, she'll be looking for a job. I dunno how i will take it if she finds a job earlier than i do =( i mean, i'll be happy for her but sad for me.. u noe. Will chances of getting a job be different in spore for me?

Dad's coming down to perth today and we're all going down to fetch him from the airport. It's gonna be so much harder to broach the subject with him around. He's the master of all persuasion. Ok let's say i get the job when i apply in Feb, but they'll only take me in in 2012! what do i do in 1 yr? i'm at a crossroads again and i'm feeling so LOST.. hais
