Charmaine is so happy and yet scheming at the same time! i gt all my bks @ 50% off the original price. but of cos, they're 2nd hand bks. my friends are still trying to source for their bks and i snigger at their attempts to try and get the lowest price for the bks - cos their prices were not able to beat mine =) heh heh..

i made some money today too! bought my bk 2nd hand last sem at $70. this sem i sold it for $80. MUAHAHAHA! im such a liar.

My first day back in uni is just disastrous. Wore my contact lens the other way round. No wonder my vision was so blur. i kept on rolling and blinking my eyes, hoping it'll get better but it didnt. mmm didnt tink i'd be wearing it the wrong way. cos i nv did b4. for 2 yrs.. -.-" the funny thing is, normally if i wear it the wrong way, i wld have known cos it'll make my eyes feel uncomfortable, then i'll change it back. but this time i didnt feel anything at all except the poor vision.

Secondly, i boarded the wrong bus home. it was already 5.30pm. sky was beginning to get dark. i wished that bus cld have put 72A instead of 72 so we wld noe its a different bus - that it terminates at an earlier stop (an ulu place somemore). made me have to walk quite a distance to catch a bus back to curtin (my starting pt.) and then start all over again. haiz.. wasted half an hr of my time. by the time i took my 2nd bus home, i cant even see the road or houses properly. soooo DARKKK!!! the problem with places here is that there are hardly any lamp posts. u can only depend on the buses for light (which they hardly operate regularly at night - only every hr) USELESS!

mama tan has decided to stay back in spore for another 1 more week. she said she'll oni be away for a minimum of 2 wks to a max of 3 wks. bluff us one. hmph! now she'll be gone for 1 mth. she wanted to take advantage of the qantas promotion ----> sin-perth and perth-sin ticket for only $480. quite cheap eh.. SIA is also having the same promotion! SIA! can u believe it? their ticket normally cost abt $1000 over for a to and fro ticket whereas for qantas it's $800. now they're both promoting it for $480, provided u travel in august -.-" so she'll be returning on 2 aug.

i feel so sinful. haven gone to church for 2 wks le. cos my mum said she doesnt want us to go for the saturday evening mass cos' it's too dark and we have to walk 20 mins there. sunday i've to work so only my 2 sisters attend church. when she announced she'll only be back a wk later, i thought to myself - oh no, i'm gonna miss another 2 wks of church =( i'm a bad bad gal.. but it's not becos i dun wanna go! it's too dangerous for gals to walk around at night here.

today i was supposed to meet a guy so he can sell me his books. waited for him impatiently, even called and sms him but he didnt pick up. i msg him the night b4, reminding him to meet today. huh! guys are------> slpyheads. he overslept. after that he claims that carousel is too far away for him and asked if we cld meet in uni. but uni is too far away for me. besides, he has a car! just now he phoned me and said he cld come to my place, also told me he bought his bk in msia and it looks different from the rest of the bks but the topics are the same. at that moment, i became abit sceptical, dunno whether wan to buy from him. we hung up and i was supposed to msg him my house address. but instead, i went to check out who else is selling the bk and i found another seller! quickly phoned the gal and whew~ thank goodness she hasnt sold her bk and her bk is way cheaper than the guy's! she's selling for $50 while he's selling for $70. maybe its fate the guy and i didnt meet todae. hiak hiak hiak hiak~ so happy now =) i just made a sweet deal..

uni is starting nxt wk le.. so fast. i actually thought i wld be enjoying this holidays. i had 6 wks off and i thought i cld wind down after studying so hard but NOOOO... i was working my ass off. worked like 4 days a week. so tiring and bored. i love holidays, just not with work planned in it. mmm becos mama tan is not back in perth nxt wk, i cant go for my evening lecture on tue 6.30-8.30pm. so crappy ah.. it's the only lecture for that subject and i've no choice but to enrol for that. becos it's really late and nobody's able to fetch me home, mama said dun go =( but it's my first lecture and there's so much impt stuff the lecturer will sae grrrrrrrr!!!!!!! angry..

brrr so cold. it's getting colder. so terribly cold. i wish i can carry the heater with me everywhere i go =( i wish he's here to keep me warm.

we were invited to paesan's house yesterday for dinner. had bbq food - sausages, beef, chicken wings, fried onions, mushrooms, salad and mashed potato. yum yum =) also came back from work yesterday to smell something awesome! initially i tot it was milo but i found it weird that such an aroma can fill the entire house. it turned out my sisters baked choc chip cookies!! they tried phaelyn's cookie recipe. so surprising.. tot they'll nv do it in my absence. ooph! the cookies are chewy and crunchy at the same time. fantastic! i ate 7-8 cookies at a go.. so fat eh? HEHE..

this morning on my way to work, i met paesan on the bus. he wanted to go to carousel to get something nice for sharon. as i had some time b4 i start work, i accompanied him to buy a bear and chocolates. and then after that, we said our goodbyes and he went to buy pink and orange tiger lilies - sharon's favourite. awww!! i'm so jealous. he said he just suddenly felt like giving her a surprise. i aso want.. *hint hint* ;)

i happened to have a craving for cookies the nxt day after i had the double choc chip cookies that night at paesan's place. So.. i gt sharon to buy me some ingredients for making cookies. and i got down to baking it. flipped thru the cookbook and decided to make lemon cream biscuits. i was sooo interested in making sth delicious that i forgot i had not baked in a very long time and i was taking an unusually long time to prepare everything. haa! i took a total of 2.5 hrs to make the cookies -.-"

first, i had to make the cookie dough. after putting the cookies into the oven, i got down to preparing the lemon cream. little did i realise that my cookies were BURNT! the cookbook said 10-12 mins but it was only 8 mins when it was burnt -.-" shld have watched the oven.. grrr. Panicking, i quickly opened the oven and my eyes stung at the heat. in my mind, i was thinking, "oh shit! the smoke alarm will definitely go off.." and it did. so stupid ah! yesterday it went off becos amanda made a newspaper catch fire. the nxt day i had to make it go off again becos of my baking disaster. wad can i sae? aiyoyo.. mama where are u?! ur 2 daughters are hopeless in the kitchen HAHA..

my 2 trays of cookies were totally chao tah.. so i had to throw it all away. only had abt half a cookie dough left. so sad =( if i was careful, i wld b able to make more. wanted to give some to paesan's family for being so nice - always inviting us over for dinner. but there wasnt enuff. so pathetic. luckily the 2nd batch was good. learnt my lesson.

they look yummy hor? taste yummy too!! =) i tink these are the best cookies i've baked so far. and my sisters agree too. very addictive.. but too bad there wasnt enuff to go around. they also said my cookies had better shape than mama's haha! mmm maybe i bake again for mama to try when she comes back =D

yeh! dear is returning from hong kong soon. haven communicated with him ever since he left. miss him.. mmmm...

the last 3 days, including today have been spectacular! firstly, we didnt have to cook for dinner cos every night sharon's bf's dad (uncle dom) invited us over to their place =D the previous night was prawn noodle soup. tonight was ROTI PRATA!! muahahahah!! we're so blessed. somemore it's uncle dom's first time cooking those food. i must sae he's a genius. he doesnt follow any recipe and he can cook something nice. sharon's bf's sister aso baked dark chocolate chip cookies after dinner. YUMMY!! they're soft and chewy. i gt the recipe from her. yeh! can bake it someday =D

anyway, wanna hear something stupid? we were talking at peason's house (sharon's bf) and amanda brought up the incident in the past where she over-toasted the bread such that the smoke alarm went off. and she made a joke tt we shld test the fire alarm every once a year to see if its working. and u noe wad?! just yesterday, she set the house on FIRE!!!! ok.. i'm exaggerating. haha.. =p she put a newspaper so near the pan that it caught fire while sharon was cooking the salmon. upon seeing the fire, she quickly brought it to the basin and tried putting it down with fire but instead the fire gt bigger -.-" the nxt thing we knew, the fire alarm sounded. ahahah!! damn stupid..

ok now for the greatest news of all!! MY RESULTS ARE OUT!!! and i'm soooooooooooooo HAPPY =) this is even better than my first semester in curtin. so surprising la! i was literally in shock when i checked my results. as usual, i didnt tink i cld pull it off this semester. i was still working during my study free week la. but dear ALWAYS insist i wld do well. guess he's right.. haha.. well, here are the results ------->

Day 135

Finally! i went out to watch a movie. haven done so for 6 mths.. caught Transformers La Premiere.. ;) i thought it was gonna be really special like how my parents described their experience back in spore - big couch where a couple can snuggle close to each other. but over here it's pretty much the same as a normal movie ticket, just that we have the best top seats, free popcorn and drinks and it costs $33 per ticket! rip off!!

last night after church, we were invited to have steamboat with sharon's boyfriend and his family.. there was quite a spread. we also brought with us koniyaku fruit jelly and wine.. wad a filling dinner =) the wine made my head a little dizzy.. hehe.

mum went back to spore todae.. wonder if she has touched down safely. she's gonna stay for about 2-3 wks. i suddenly realised i only gt 3 more wks b4 uni starts. so fast eh.. how time flies while u're relaxing. haiz.. and results will be out this wed. hope i'll do well!! *cross my fingers* =D
