Day 35

i slogged my guts out for 3 tests. but only 2 came out.. -.- i hate unannounced quizzes. well, my tutor is good enuff to sae that the quiz will most probably be this wk or nxt. but why cant he just pick one day? my friend's tutor told them it's nxt wk.. so unfair.. hmph. i studied so hard for this test that i only had less than a day to study for the next test the next day.. slept late, woke up early just to prepare. only to end up feeling 50% sure of my answers. haiz.. so tired and disappointed.

but, i just got a call from ernst and young, saying that my application for vacation work in the winter holidays has gone to the next round. i'm to go down to their office for a round of testing. and if i'm successful yet again, i would be scheduled to go for an interview on another day. guess i must have been so elated and scared at the same time that i stumbled on my words while talking to the lady who called me. i'm so scared la.. i tink more scared than excited. dunno how things will go. i always stumble when i'm nervous and i dun wan the people who test me to know that. talk about low self-confidence. yea i've plenty of that. somehow, i feel inferior when mixing around with ang-mohs. they speak so well! and i've the singlish style running thru my veins.

WAH... monday is the test. so fast! they nv give me enuff time to prepare. i dun have any formal clothes to wear! argh!!! my friend applied earlier than me, but he didnt receive any call.. and he says that the lady who gave the career talk say they eliminate 98% of applications during the testing. oh my gosh! now i dun see myself getting that interview.. =(

i have 3 tests nxt wk! arghhhhhhh!!! thank goodness i got someone to replace me at work todae. not to have fun but to have more time for study =( haiz.. so stressed.

Friday the 13th.. nth bad happened to me so far.. haha. instead, i felt very happy todae. Talked to a new gal - from spore. we were bitching abt our tutor in his presence LOL.. how evil.. saw jeremy and his friend in the main cafe but oni managed to talk to them when i chanced upon them again at the end of the day.

AND when i got home to check my pay slip, i found out i got a PAY RISE! oh YEH....!!!!! >.<

GOOD NEWS no. 1 - my ulcer is gone and my tonsils are a lot better now.. yeh!

GOOD NEWS no. 2 - i received a letter of commendation today, congratulating me for being one of the top few students in the School of Accounting for last sem.. oh yea =)

GOOD NEWS no. 3 - dear has found a job! FINALLY!

GOOD NEWS no. 4 - i've gt my first pay ever since i came back to perth.. haha! just trying to find more stuff to put as good news.. hehe..

arhhhh!!!!! i've got an ulcer.. -.- now having to eat on both sides of the mouth is a torture.. haiyo... today i started work again. worked from 9-4.30pm.. so tiring.. been relaxing for too long already.. and i've been telling myself to learn driving but i dunno why i cant seem to find the time to even do the basic theory test first! grrrr... i'm so hopeless..

Boohoohoo!!! i went to the doctor's todae after acknowledging my stubborness to avoid the doc has made the pain worse.. the doc said it is the inflammation of the tonsils. AGAIN! and i tot it was ulcer. a realli bad one. and i even dutifully put ulcer cream on it every night b4 i go to bed but it doesnt seem to work miracles. i cant eat properly. every solid food i swallow will make my tonsils hurt. my mum has been cooking porridge for me for the past 3 days. wad will i do without her? sobx.. no fried food or chilli for me =(

on the first day i was restricted to porridge, mum cooked chilli sweet potato leaves and fried potato balls. I was not allowed to touch it, except for the steamed egg she purposely cooked for me. but i was still hungry so she gave me watermelon to eat. after everyone was done wif dinner, she then realised she forgot to serve the soup -.- everyone just cleared up while i scooped myself a bowl of soup. eh heh heh~ still hungry ma!

today, she made bacon, fried egg and raisin toast bread for bfast.. i could oni look at them eat.. haiz.. when can i eat normally again?

yesterday during my mathematical economics class, my tutor was trying to explain, and wrote on the board at the same time that we could use f(x), g(x), h(x) or any other alphabet to represent an equation. he went on to draw apple(x)!!!!!! wad the hell! he practically drew the apple out la! damn funny.. we were laughing so hard it cldnt stop. when the class was silent once more, i still cldnt stop laughing (but of cos, i was sniggering more than laughing if not i'll b the only fool laughing in the class).

our tutor has always been the laughing stock of the class. he's old, has white balding hair, is skinny but has a big belly, tall and looks like he's going to die soon (according to my friend). that's becos he coughs in every sentence he speaks. and i tink he smokes too becos i can smell a tinge of cigarette when he comes near. the worst thing is he's the unit coordinator, the ONLY lecturer and the ONLY tutor for that unit! he mumbles to himself and makes crappy jokes that only he laughs but nobody else does.. and his lecture notes! oh man! not meant for understanding.. and when he speaks, we dun understand either. how to pass the unit?!!!!!

WE'RE DOOMED! - that's wad i told julien. i've never gotten such a bad teacher b4. i've complained about some of my previous tutors but i now see that they make better teachers than this one. OH NOOOOOOO!!!!

last sat, we invited choon kiat over to our place for lunch. i had a feeling he misses home-cooked food alot.. so we picked him up at murdoch and then headed back home where we played xbox games wif my sisters while waiting for mama to dish out lunch. the lunch was sumptuous. mum cooked chilli squid, 2 plates of promfrets, kai lan with luncheon meat and pork leg fuzhou fishball soup.. if u heard wad kind of food he's been havin for the past 2 wks, u'd feel sad for him..

the nxt day, my 21st bdae!!! my uncle's family came over for lunch. after we cleared our dishes, mum brought out the cake we bought nearby. the cake is called Grand Marnier Torte. Grand Marnier is a type of liquor. but it isnt realli strong. i guess they just used a little on the cake. it tasted good, but mum and sisters didnt like the thick layer of cream (1cm-2cm thick). i LOVED it.. HAHA! anyway, the cake didnt come with candles. so we had to buy them from another store. polka-dotted candles! that's all we could find. hehe.. and they stuffed 21 candles. took me 4 mouths to blow out everything. =D

aunt gave me a special ferrero rocher box (flavours: pistachio, almond, hazelnut, forest fruits, coconut) as well as a $100 gift card to be used in certain stores. popo gave me an ang pao. mama~~~ still owes me! haha..
