Day 220
mmm where do i start? it's been quite a long time since i last updated. i've so many things to sae!
firstly, dad was supposed to come down to perth to visit us for a wk. it was originally 3rd october that he was coming over. but an issue with his client cropped up and he changed it to an earlier date - 25 september. mum was so happy!! i could tell she couldnt wait for dad to fly over. but alas, another client issue surfaced. and tis time, dad was not so lucky. he was not able to make the trip anymore. so he had to cancel his flight =( when dad told mum the bad news over the phone, she was so upset. i saw her cry. i felt so helpless. i didnt noe wad to do, all i did was hug her. oh wells, we'll just have to wait another few more mths till our return for our family to reunite. haiz..
the last 1.5 wks was hell for me. i was so busy with uni work. on top of that, i had to work. i didnt hav enuff rest. i had a test and an assignment to submit on the same wk. and to make me even more superwoman, the asia cocktail night had to fall on the friday that week. i rem i had to work for 8 hrs that day. when i came home, i had a shower, dinner then it was dressing up and make-up for the clubbing event. amanda's friend, eddie, picked us up from our place at 9.30pm. according to my sister, all the tickets were sold. The ones in Curtin and UWA. That makes it a total of about 6000 tickets. amazing how 6000 people can squeeze into one club. i almost died dancing with the crowd. it was so squeezy. i gotta admit clubbing is not really my style. i noe it's my sister's but it's not mine. i feel uncomfortable when i club. mmm..
anyway, the ticket which costs $20 gave us 2 free standard drinks, by that i mean vodka etc.. we first had a vodka sunshine, recommended by eddie. i liked it but amanda said she found it a little bitter. i thought it was sweet compared to the other drinks. then i had malabu with lemonade. tasted like coconut. the last drink i had was 151 (75% alcohol). my friend, julien treated me and stella to that drink. it was DAMN STRONG i tell u.. it's just a shot but once u drink it down, it burns ur throat. my throat still had that burnt feeling throughout the night and even the next day! i had to drink alot of water the next day cos i was feeling so thirsty.
when a shot comes together with a glass of water, it means the alcohol is really strong. yep, the 151 comes with water. after about 20 mins, i was slightly drunk. i was on the dance floor just moving, barely dancing cos' my head was just feeling tipsy. i could tell cos' my eyes couldnt focus. it was flying all around. but the funny thing is, most people go all wild when they are drunk. not me apparently, i just wanted to stay at one corner and daze. stella and her sister were very drunk.
i guess im a really traditional person. i get a little turned off when i see people grinding each other and kissing. and for that, i dun tink i'll b clubbing any time soon.
eddie was drunk so we were afraid that he wldnt be able to send us home safely. unfortunately, there was no one else to give us a lift. there was one person however, but he could only send us as far as where the taxi stand was. and at that late hour of 3am, it's so cold outside (i was shivering so badly) and u could be waiting for an hr for a taxi! plus the taxi fares are extremely expensive here. so, eddie pleaded with us to give him an hour to sober up, of which he did. thank goodness! and he fetched us home safely at about 4.15am. whew.. wad a day..
guess wad? i had work the next day. ok not next day but in 5 hrs time. i had to get up at 7.30am to prepare for work. i quickly washed up and had 3 hrs of slp. when i got up, i had so much difficulty trying to put on my contact lens. expected la.. u see, i wore my contact lens for more than 18 hrs already. i kept on tearing uncontrollably. but i needed it for work. it was so bad.. i had to work for 7 hrs. even when i finished work, i had church when i got home. after dinner i was so exhausted i had to climb into bed and just slp. luckily for me, i was able to slp for as long as i like the next day. so i had a total of 11 hrs of slp. it was shiok man! haha..
my tutorial free wk is finally here.. but this break isnt really free at all. i have an accounting online assignment to do which will take me approx 20 hrs to complete. and im so glad to inform that u i've just successfully completed that todae =) i worked on it for 2 WHOLE days. now i've another assignment to start on, to be handed in this coming mon. here it goes again. i bet it's going to get busy again after the free wk. aiz.. wad a tiring semester.. how r u guys doing?
